For a long time, I wasn’t into the idea of going on a solo outing. I didn’t like the idea of being seen a long in public. But once I started doing it, I realized how amazing it truly is!
I realized that I have to put my happiness and myself first. I don’t need to wait around for a guy to ask me out or for friends to be available to do the things I want to do. There were so many things I want to do, places I wanted to visit and food I want to try.
This past Friday I took myself on a little self-love date today! Solo outings have become such an important way to connect with myself. Craving out time to recharge and get clarity is such a beautiful gift we can give ourselves.
I treated myself to a mani and pedi and then headed to the MET museum to check out the Rei Kawakubo exhibition and I had such an amazing afternoon.
I love that I can connect with my self, by myself while keeping connected to the rest of the world. I’m grateful to have my Verizon cell phone with me all the time and to be able to capture moments/photos that I want to reflect on later. Plus with Verizon wireless, I have the best service so that I am able to post on Instagram stories and share my journey with all of you because Better Matters!
