I love living in LA, but I look forward to going back to NYC every year for theCURVYcon! It always feels like a massive family reunion. I was in awe of the beautiful women who gathered to celebrate each other and women of all shapes and sizes. We are all in this together – fighting for size inclusivity and diversity and it’s pretty magical to see what happens when we come together.
Plus I love getting to collaborate with brands like JCPenney that believe in size-inclusive fashion. This year I got to partner with JCPenney during theCURVYcon. In July, Shaina from Out of the Corner and I went to Chicago to shoot for the JCPenney Fall campaign. During the shoot, we both had a major omg moment! There we were, two bloggers, shooting for theCURVYcon promotions and a major Fall campaign. Representation matters and I’m grateful for brands like JCPenney for creating fashion for women of all shapes and sizes.
I had a surreal moment when I arrived to theCURVYcon this year and saw a life-size poster of myself at the JCPenney booth. It was amazing to get to preview the Fall collection and hang out with so many amazing women.
They also had a Mantra Wall at the JCPenney booth where we got to write what inspires us and add it to the wall. It was really fun getting to see women celebrate themselves.
JCPenney always offers incredible pieces and I’m so excited for this season because their Fall collection is gorgeous!
